Oil on canvas 15x15cm
Carduelis carduelis. This work was created using the traditional technique of Realist Painting, rooted in the 19th-century Académie des Beaux-Arts. The method is highly time-consuming, as the painting is built up through four successive layers applied over the entire surface, gradually enhancing detail, depth, and brightness. Unlike hyperrealist or so-called photographic painting, Realist Painting preserves the unmistakable charm of painterly art while achieving remarkable accuracy.
