Oil on canvas 15x15cm
Erithacus rubecula. This work was created using the traditional Realist Painting technique, rooted in the 19th-century Académie des Beaux-Arts. The method is extremely time-consuming, as the painting is built up through four successive layers, each applied over the entire surface, to gradually enhance detail, depth, and luminosity. Unlike hyper-realistic or so-called photographic painting, Realist Painting preserves the unmistakable charm of pictorial art while still achieving a striking level of accuracy.
